From Improvised Songs Vol. 2
A while back I had this idea for a composition that was loosely based on sprechstimme (“speech-voice” in German) and tone clusters. It was just a throw-away idea that ended up actually becoming a short little thing. Anyway, after many versions of me playing with it in Finale, a bunch of dear friends came over and helped track it all. Afterword I sat on it for a year and wondered what in the world to do with it. …and then along came this spectacular artist and she made this gorgeous piece of art that still gives me goosebumps whenever I see her wear it.
